If you wish to disable Microsoft authentication and revert to GitHub-initiated login, contact support at [email protected].

What happens if my organization has Microsoft Entra ID enabled and someone logs in with their GitHub account?

Swarmia detects that the user belongs to your Github organization and the user gets redirected to the Microsoft Entra ID login page.

What happens to existing users and teams if I enable Microsoft Entra ID authentication?

You will have the same users and teams. People will be prompted to link their GitHub account to their Microsoft Entra ID credentials when they log in the next time.

You can use Microsoft Entra ID authentication with all your Swarmia organizations. Upon authentication you will be prompted to select the organization you want to log into.

I need to allow other tenants to log in to our instance with Microsoft Entra ID

Please contact us to our support at [email protected] and we can include any additional tenant IDs to your installation.

Is it possible to limit access to specific groups or users?

By default, all users within your Entra ID tenant can access Swarmia.

It is possible to limit access to specific groups or users when using Microsoft Entra ID authentication with Swarmia. When you connect Entra ID to Swarmia, the Swarmia application appears under "Enterprise Applications" in your Azure portal, where you can configure access controls.

To restrict access, you need to enable "Assignment required" under Enterprise Applications > Swarmia > Properties in the Azure portal, and then add specific Users or Groups to the application. This allows you to control exactly who has access to your Swarmia organization, ensuring only authorized team members can sign in through your Entra ID integration.
