1. Grant Swarmia read access to Copilot Business
To see Copilot adoption metrics, you must grant Swarmia read access to GitHub Copilot Business. You’ll get access to data from this point onward (no backfill of historical data). View instructions
2. Enable Copilot Metrics API
To see Copilot usage metrics, you must enable the Organization settings > Copilot > Policies > Copilot Metrics API setting. You'll get historical data starting from 100 days prior to making the connection.

Enabling Cursor metrics
You need to have Cursor's Teams plan to get organization-level metrics. Create a Cursor admin API key and copy it to Settings / AI assistants in Swarmia. We fetch 365 days of historical activity data upon connection.
Enabling Claude Code metrics
Claude Code in Swarmia is currently available only if you're authenticated through the Claude Console (the default option). If you're using the Claude App (with Pro or Max plan), a setup deployed via third-party cloud providers (such as Amazon Bedrock or Google Vertex AI), or a third-party proxy service (such as LiteLLM), please reach out to [email protected].
If you're unsure which authentication method you're using, you can visit console.anthropic.com/claude-code to see the list of Claude Code users you should be able to see in Swarmia.
Create a Claude Code Admin API key (note that these differ from the standard API keys) and copy it to Settings / AI assistants in Swarmia. You need to be a Claude organization admin to create Admin API keys. We fetch 30 days of historical activity data upon connection.
Frequently asked questions
Why do you need an admin API key? Isn't that a bit excessive?
We'd love to ask for fewer permissions, but the Claude Code Analytics API requires an admin key. You can read more about our data access here.
